1. Cook your bow tie pasta according to package instructions, then drain and rinse under cold water; allow the pasta to completely drain of the water, and set aside. (I like to drizzle the pasta with a touch of olive oil to prevent it from sticking together too much.)
2. To prepare your lemon vinaigrette, add the lemon juice, agave, Dijon mustard, garlic cloves, 1 (slightly heaping) teaspoon of sea salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper to the bowl of your food processor, and process until smooth; with the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until completely blended and well emulsified; pour into a jar or container, and set the vinaigrette aside.
3. If using fresh English peas, bring a small pot of well-salted water to the boil, and add the peas to simmer for 90 seconds; drain and shock in ice water, then drain and pat dry.
4. To prepare the bow tie pasta salad, add the cooked and cooled bow ties to a large bowl, and drizzle in roughly half of the vinaigrette; gently toss together, then check to see if more vinaigrette is needed, adding in a tablespoon or two more at a time and tasting.

1. Bring a medium pot of water to boil, add the pasta and cook until al dente. Pour it through a strainer in the sink and rinse with cold water to stop the pasta from cooking any longer. This also cools it down, so if you’re eating right away, your salad isn’t warm.
2. Dice the onion, roughly chop the artichokes, roughly peel the cucumber and chop, and slice the cherry tomatoes in half. Place peas in a small bowl and microwave for a minute or until thawed. Cut the broccoli head into small pieces, place in a bowl and add a tablespoon of water, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave for two minutes.
3. In a large bowl add the pasta, olives, onion, artichokes, cucumbers and tomatoes (I like to sprinkle a little salt on the tomatoes and let them sit for 10 minutes or so in the bowl while I’m preparing the rest of the dish, to bring out their juicy flavor), peas, and broccoli.
4. In a small bowl, whisk the ranch and Italian dressings together, and add a pinch of salt and few grinds of pepper. Feel free to taste the dressing to adjust to your liking.
