1. Banana, apple and oatmeal porridge. Ingredients. 1/2 cup of oats, ¼ cup of broken wheat, 1 tsp low-fat butter, 1 1/2 cups low-fat milk(99.7% fat-free , 1 1/2 tbsp powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder, 1 cup chopped apples and 1 cup sliced banana.
2. Instant oats idlis with carrot mix. Ingredients. 3/4th cup oats, ½ a cup of sooji, 1 cup curd, a pinch of baking soda, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon mustard, 3/4th tablespoon cumin seeds, ½ tablespoon urad dal, 1 grated carrot, a generous pinch of hing and whole black pepper.
3. Oats Vegetable Soup. Ingredients. 3 tablespoon of oats, 100 grams of green beans, 1 carrot, 1/4th cup of green peas, 1/4th cup of sweet corn, ½ a cup of milk, ½ tablespoon pepper powder, salt to taste, 1/4th tablespoon sugar and a few coriander leaves.
4. Crunchy cumin seed patties. Ingredients. 3/4 cup whole wheat flour, 1 1/2 tsp cornflour, 2 tbsp maize flour, 2 tsp skimmed milk powder, 1/4 cup quick cooking rolled oats, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp low fat curds and salt to taste.
5. Chocolate-coconut oatmeal. Ingredients. I bowl of oats, 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder,1 tablespoon of shredded coconut,1 tablespoon of almonds cut in slivers and a sprinkling of chocolate chips and coconut.
6. Oat Roti Recipe. Ingredients. 1 cup whole wheat flour, 1/4 cup rolled oats, I/4 cup oat bran, salt to taste. Method. First of all, grind the rolled oats. Now take a separate bowl and add in whole wheat flour, along with bran, grinded rolled oats and salt.
7. Oatmeal banana bread. Ingredients.1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, 1/2 tablespoon salt, 1/2 tablespoon baking soda, 1/4 tablespoon baking powder, 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon, 3 tablespoon canola or walnut oil, 1 large egg, beaten, 2 medium egg whites, beaten, 3 large bananas, ripe and 1 cup uncooked old fashioned oats.
8. Oats rava dosa. Ingredients. I cup oats, 1/4th cup rava, 3/4th cup whole wheat flour, 1 onion, 2 green chillies, 2 tablespoon cumin seeds, 1 tablespoon pepper and 1 tablespoon olive oil.
9. Puree oatmeal. Add 1 cup of oatmeal to a blender. Puree until finely chopped.
10. Combine oats. Combine the pureed oats with the regular quick cook oats. Divide between 5 containers.
11. Add toppings. To each container add toppings of your choice. This recipe uses quick oats - they cook much quicker than old-fashioned or steel cut oats because they are rolled ...
