The foods to eat after gastric sleeve surgery are only soft or puree foods, such as yoghurts, blended fruits, smooth soup, blended fish, liquidized meat, etc. You should also keep in mind that you cannot drink before, during, or after you eat soft foods.
The gastric sleeve will allow you to eat almost any type or texture of food, provided you limit portion sizes, eat slowly, and chew food thoroughly. You will eventually be able to try red meat, vegetables and fruits with skins, and even whole grain bread.
Your diet after gastric sleeve surgery should be replete with vegetables, whole wheat foods, and other healthier options. The surgery actually helps you crave healthier options because the rich-in-calorie junk foods that you used to consume prior to the surgery no longer seem appetizing.
As soon as the pureed foods are going down without a problem, work your way into soft foods like: Cooked vegetables Ground meats (lean) Soft fruits (no seeds or skin)
