The good quality treats from the stores cost an insane amount of money! For my post this week I’ll be sharing my recipe for soft chew dog treats. They are made with just 4 ingredients and they are super easy to make. I’ll be visiting my parents this coming weekend and wanted to give them some treats for their dog Bear.
Directions: Mix rice, chicken, rosemary, egg powder and vegetables in a large mixing bowl. Gradually add water, 1/2 cup at a time, until mixture is moist, but not sitting in water. Serve immediately or keep refrigerated for 3-4 days.
For a basic dog biscuit recipe, in a food processor, combine 2 1/2 cups flour, 3/4 cup dry milk, 1 tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. salt and mix well. Add 1 egg, 6 tbsp. oil and 3/4 c. water. Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness, cut with a cookie cutter. Bake for 25 minutes in a 350°F oven until hard and dry. Cool and store in an air-tight box.
Preparing Cooked Dog Food Cook 2.5 cups meat. You may use ground beef, chicken, lamb, turkey or any other type of meat your dog likes. Prepare 2 cups of cooked starch. Use white or brown rice (brown rice may be helpful if your dog has digestive problems), oatmeal, barley or cooked pasta. Cook 1.25 cups produce.
Instructions Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine flour, peanut butter and apple sauce in a large mixing bowl. Add stock and stir until well-combined. Place dough ball on a flat service (with a sprinkle of flour if needed) and roll out evenly with a rolling pin. Dough should be about 1/4 inch thick. Bake for 18 minutes or until golden brown.
