What can you make with brats?

Serve it warm or make it ahead and serve at room temperature. Vinegary cucumber salads offer the same sweet-tart complement to bratwurst but are much lighter than traditional German potato salad. If you prefer, serve American potato salad, a pasta salad, cole slaw or a green salad tossed with creamy ranch dressing.

What temperature to cook brats?

Your brats should be grilled slowly over medium-low heat (between 300 and 350°F) for the best results. It should take about 20 minutes to hit your desired internal temperature of 160°F.

How do I Cook brats?

Preheat grill over medium-high heat. Clean and oil grate. In a large pot over medium-high heat, add brats, onion, red chili flakes (if using) and beer. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until brats are cooked through, about 10 to 12 minutes. Remove brats to a bowl or platter.

Are brats made of beef?

Bratwurst (German: [ˈbʁaːtvʊɐ̯st] (listen)) is a type of German sausage made from veal, beef, or most commonly pork.
