Question by nymetsfan23: How do you get bigger in muscle but without putting on fat to not have cut abs?
I know this must be the hardest thing to do in lifting, but honestly I am determined to do something in my life and this is what I want to do. I am already pretty cut muscle wise but I want to get bigger (not bulky tho), but also I want those abs that are so in depth that you can see them popping out. Any ideas? Any workouts? Any ideas on eating alot to get muscle mass but eating healthy (diet plans?) Plz and thank you for your time!

1. Regarding to your question getting bigger muscle and popping abs, I think squat is one of the most effective overall exercises for stimulating body composition changes (muscle gain and fat loss).
This is because exercises like squats and deadlifts use more muscle groups under a heavy load than almost any other weight bearing exercises known to man. Hence, these exercises stimulate the greatest hormonal responses (growth hormone, testosterone, etc.) of all exercises.
2. While you wanted to be eating alot while stay healthy to get muscle mass, I recommend post-workout meals. It may be the most important meal of the day if your are serious about getting muscles.
The reason is that when you’re finished with an intense workout, you’re entering a catabolic state where your muscle glycogen is depleted and increased cortisol levels are beginning to excessively break down muscle tissue.
However, the key is to choose a meal with quickly digestible carbs to replenish muscle glycogen as well as quickly digestible protein to provide the amino acids needed to jump start muscular repair.
